Tips to help cope with stress

  • I am sharing some tips taught to me while I was in the psychiatric hospital, on how to reduce stress with out the medication supplied by the psychiatrists:
    1. Get 8 hours of sleep per night (natural and deep cycle).
      Early morning exercise helps with releasing endorphins in your brain.
      Drink 8 glasses of water a day (on average 2 liters a day).
      Pack a decent lunch for work (with fruit etc).
      Make healthy choices when it comes to your meals (1 neutron requires potassium, magnesium and calcium).
      Take Omega 3 tablets twice a day.
      Eat supper together as a family and discuss your days events.
      Spend 1 hour a day doing something you enjoy; this helps you clear your mind.

    Below are a list of healthy food choices to help fight depression:

    1. Almonds
    2. Asparagus
    3. Avocados
    4. Blue Berries
    5. Bananas
    6. Dark chocolate
    7. Green Tea
    8. Spinach
    9. IJ fish
